A workshop, including all the parts and oversight necessary to successfully install a "laundry to landscape" greywater system at your home - all for free - is being offered over the weekend of March 3rd. The City of Santa Monica and Greywater Action are partnering to offer their resources and expertise during the full day workshop on Saturday; and for the follow-up day, Sunday, March 4, to provide technical assistance for homeowners who are ready to install their systems.
• Homeowners in Santa Monica have been installing greywater systems for years. These simple systems divert clothes washer rinse water to the landscape through easy to install drip tubing.
• A family of four can save 10,000 to 30,000 gallons of water each year by installing a clothes washer greywater system.
• Greywater is safe to use for irrigation when properly installed and maintained.
Space is limited to 30 Santa Monica homeowners whose washers and yards meet some basic criteria, see details.

Required registration includes detailed questionnaire. Participants must be able to pick up their kits on the day of workshop from the City's storage shed at Cloverfield and Michigan.
