Santa Monica, California – Kids of all ages will be flocking to the Santa Monica Public Library on Saturday, November 7, 2009 to help celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Sesame Street.  This all-ages celebration will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in various locations at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd., and is presented thanks to the generous support of the Friends of Santa Monica Public Library.

Generations have grown up learning their ABCs and 123s with the legendary children’s program Sesame Street.  In early November, the show will celebrate its 40th Anniversary, and the Santa Monica Public Library will be celebrating the milestone on Saturday, November 7, 2009 with a movie screening of Follow That Bird (the Big Bird movie) at 11:00 a.m., followed by a crafts, snacks and activities hour for children at 12:30 p.m., and capped off with a riotously funny puppet show, The River Otter Circus, by Swazzle at 1:30 p.m.

All ages are welcome.  Seating for events in the Library’s Auditorium is limited and on a first arrival basis.  No reservations available.
The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event.
