Santa Monica, California – Santa Monica Public Library presents the concert Art Songs for Soprano with Piano, Flute and Harp on Saturday, October 24, at 2:00 p.m.  This event is presented in collaboration with the National Association of Composers, U.S.A. and the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon.  

With the musical setting inspired by the poetry of E. E. Cummings, W. B. Yeats and others, local composers’ works are showcased in this special musical event.  The composers, Bruce Sutherland and Adrienne Albert of Santa Monica, and Deon Nielsen Price, Chad Skopp, Margaret Meier, Greg Steinke, and Carol Worthey, of Los Angeles area, will all be present for this event.  The artists performing for the occasion are Valerie Miller, soprano; Daniel Kessner, flute/composer; Dolly Eugenio Kessner, piano; and Paul Hurst, harp/composer.
