–The
Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to welcome author Mark Thornton as the
first guest in a new monthly series of discussions, the Quality of Life Forum
on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library's Martin
Luther King, Jr. Auditorium.
Hosted by Quality of
Life Project founder Kit Cooper, the Quality of Life Forum will feature
accomplished, inspiring and grounded guest speakers who will share best
practices on what they do to get the most out of life. The series’ first
guest is Mark Thornton, author of Meditation in a New Minute: Super Calm for
the Super Busy. An executive coach and meditation expert, Mr.
Thornton is frequently called on to advise business executives, as well as
rank-and-file employees, on managing stress in their work lives.
Admission is free, and
seating is first come, first served. The Santa Monica Public Library is
